SEI Jr. High Boys Basketball Tourney Semis and Finals

In the semifinals of the Southeastern Indiana Junior High Boys Basketball Tournament, Batesville’s eighth grade moved on to the finals after a 48-45 double overtime win against Greendale.

Cayden Drake, Trenten Luers and Braydon Maple all scored 13 for the Bulldogs.  Teammate Cannon Clark accounted for the other nine.

Jac-Cen-Del’s seventh grade lost in the semis to Sunman Dearborn 41-25.

For the Eagles, Neil Sullivan had 11 points, five rebounds and three steals.  Darian Grishop collected eight points and four swipes.

In the finals, the Batesville eighth grade fell to South Dearborn in the championship 18-13.  The Bulldogs led 13-10 after three quarters but struggled to score in the final frame.

Brayden Maple’s five points and four by Trenten Luers were tops for BMS.  The Dogs finish a fine season at 16-4.

South Dearborn’s seventh grade also won the SEI Tourney with a 48-20 victory over Sunman-Dearborn.  The Knights seventh grade finished the season a perfect 18-0.

In one other boys junior high contest, North Decatur’s eighth grade boys got the better of Waldron 37-15.  Chase Youngman tallied 17 points.  Logan O’Dell posted 13 points and seven rebounds.
