Brookville, IN — The American Farmers Grow Rural Education program allows eligible farmers to nominate their local public school district for grants to help enhance science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. Once nominated, school districts submit applications to compete for $10,000 to $25,000 grants to help fund projects that enhance their STEM curriculum.
Franklin County Community School Ag teachers, Mrs. Hornberger and Mr. Frazier, were one of six school programs in Indiana chosen to receive a grant. Their grant was awarded in the amount of $15,000 for the agriculture programs at Franklin County Community High School and Franklin County Middle School.
