Greensburg, IN — If you are a high school senior, now is the time of year, if you haven’t already to narrow down your plans for after high school, and that means it is also time to start really thinking about how to fund those plans as well.
If you are a Decatur County senior or you know a senior looking to pursue some type of post-secondary education, such as a two- or four-year degree, trades program, or certification, The Decatur County Community Foundation (DCCF) is encouraging you to apply for their scholarships. Executive Director Tami Wenning stated that DCCF has over $331,000 between 55 scholarships to give in 2021. The DCCF has streamlined the application process to be easier than in the past.
1. Log onto the website.
2. On the home page, click “Visit Our Online Scholarship Portal.”
3. From the Scholarship Portal page, click “Create New Account.”
You will start by completing our Common Application. After that is completed, the system will give a comprehensive list of scholarships you might qualify for. Then, you can complete any additional requirements specific to those scholarships. Scholarship applications must be completed by February 1, 2021.
