Samuel P. Robinson, age 66 of Sunman, passed away this week. He was born on April 3, 1955. He is the son of
the late Paul and Frances (Vogelsang) in Batesville, Indiana. He grew up with his sisters on the family farm near Sunman.

Sam attended and graduated from Milan High School. Shortly after high school he enlisted in the United States Army and served as an infantryman in Texas and Alaska. Upon completion of his service, he returned to the family farm and worked a variety of positions in construction, the Jefferson Proving Ground and the Napoleon Meat Locker Plant.
He loved his farm and enjoyed the property. The outdoors was his passion, whether hunting or fishing or exploring. He also enjoyed tending his garden and reading a variety of books. He had a great love for his niece and nephews and enjoyed camping with them and taking them on frequent hikes patrolling the woods. Sam was also a regular at the Batesville Farmers Market.
Sam will be missed by his sister Pam (Robert) Maloney, brother-in-law Robert Schuler, nephews; Dan
(Misty) Palmer, Roger (Shannon) Palmer, Robert (Angie) Maloney, Joe (Anita) Maloney, Pat (Blair) Maloney and niece Jodi Schuler, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jane Schuler. Visitors may arrive at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at 4:30pm. A prayer service will follow at 5:00pm. Burial will follow at Saint Pius Catholic Cemetery, with Military Honors being held at graveside.
