Salvation Army Looking for Volunteer Red Kettle Bell Ringers

(Batesville, IN) – The Salvation Army is looking for local volunteers to ring bells as part of this year’s Red Kettle Campaign.

The Red Kettles will be set up at the Batesville Kroger from November 29 through Christmas Eve, December 24.

Two-hour shifts are available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Salvation Army says it’s a great service project for clubs, school or church groups or businesses. Families and individuals are also encouraged to participate.

Last year, more than 50 participants raised $8,786.83. All money raised in Batesville stays local and is disbursed each month according to Salvation Army guidelines.

Through the month of October, 69 people have received assistance this year. The local Salvation Army can be reached at (812) 932-2622 for assistance requests.

“It is the Red Kettle volunteers who make Salvation Army’s service to Batesville possible,” Hoag  said. “When volunteers are at the Red Kettle, shoppers donate generously. God bless you as you serve your community by ringing the bell.”
