Rush County Deputy Accused of Pointing Gun at Co-Worker

(Rush County, IN) – A Rush County Sheriff’s deputy has been charged with two misdemeanors and criminal recklessness for allegedly pointing an unloaded handgun at a now former co-worker.

Court documents indicate Deputy Bobby Peck was in the Rush County dispatch center last month when he called out an employee’s name before pointing a Glock at her.

The unloaded pistol had been handed to him by another deputy.

The employee ended up resigning from her position, due to not feeling safe, according to court documents.

There has been no information released on the 42-year-old Peck’s employment status.

The incident investigation is being handled by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
