Runge appointed to Aurora Council seat to fill unexpired term

AURORA, IN — Kyle Runge has been appointed to represent District 4 on Aurora City Council.

He will serve the remaining term of the late Fredrick Lester, who died last month at the age of 73.

Runge is a CPA working as the Assistant Controller for Answers in Genesis in Petersburg, Kentucky, and serves as the Chairman of the business board at Community Fellowship Church in Lawrenceburg.

Runge left his hometown in Western Pennsylvania at the age of 19 for a summer job with AiG where he met his wife Amanda, who grew up in Guilford.

After completing his summer job, he chose to remain in the area, complete his degree at Northern Kentucky University, and settle down in Aurora.

He and his wife have three daughters.

Growing up, Runge was active in Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout

In his spare time, Runge said he, “Enjoys chess, bowling, nerdy Excel things, and haphazardly tackling home repair projects.”
