Royalty Crowned to Open 121st Versailles Pumpkin Show

(Versailles, IN) – The 121st Versailles Pumpkin Show kicked off Wednesday night with the crowning of royalty.

South Ripley High School senior Ellie Lauber was named Queen and Nathan Parker from Lawrenceburg High School was chosen King.

The first runner-up in the Queen contest is Veronica King from Batesville High School, while Isabelle Pearson from South Dearborn High School is second runner-up.

The first runner-up in the King contest is Oldenburg Academy’s Christian Mack, and the second runner up is Cooper Horn representing Switzerland County high school.

Lauber and Parker were each presented a $1,000 scholarship from Ivy Tech Community College.

Eleven Southeastern Indiana high schools were represented in Wednesday evening’s King and Queen contests.

The Versailles Pumpkin Show is presented by the Versailles Lions Club and runs through Sunday.
