Ronald Lee Posey, 83, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2021.
He was born August 9, 1937 in Dearborn County, IN, son of the late Hamer Posey and Agnes (Perkins) Posey.
Ronald was a machinist at Joseph E. Seagram and Sons for 21 years, retiring in 1999. He graduated from Lawrenceburg High School, Class of 1955, where he played baseball and basketball. He was a member of Greendale First Baptist Church. Ron was an avid sports lover but, loved the Cleveland Browns the most. A highlight for him, was attending a game and being part of the “Dawg Pound”. He was loving their success this season.
Ronald is survived by his loving spouse of 60 years Carol Posey (Doerflein), his beloved children, Greg (Debbie) Posey of Arden, NC; Daughter, Lee Ann (Todd) Wischmeyer of Carmel, IN; Grandchildren, Lora (Evan)Wilson, Elliott (Shauna) Posey, and Jacob Wischmeyer (Fiance Hannah Simpson); Sister-In-Laws, Nancy (Sim) Vinson and Sally (Joe) Hermann. Ron was a great father, husband, grandpa and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He cherished his friendships with Chick Kittle and his early morning coffee buddies.
He was preceded in death by Father, Hamer Posey, Mother, Agnes Posey.
Ron’s wishes were to be cremated and have a private memorial service at a later date.
