They were able to purchase the family farm in Sunman where they raised their family. Ronald retired from Local 212 Electric Workers.
When Ronald wasn’t working or tending to his family farm, he loved flea markets and auctions. Ronald always looked forward to Friendship and going to the weekly sales at Whites looking for that special deal he just couldn’t miss out on. When he finally had the opportunity to relax you would catch him sitting in his easy chair watching the History Channel. Ronald’s most rewarding accomplishment and his favorite thing was spending time with his family. Even when the weather was cold, he would enjoy sitting with Rita watching the birds out the back window. Ronald always admired the beauty of a cardinal, especially in the snow.
Survived to cherish Ronald’s love and memories is his wife of 59 years Rita Carleton; three children: Greg (MaryJo) Carleton of Indianapolis, Eric (Penny) Carleton of Versailles, Angi (Richard) Adams of Missoula, MT; grandchildren: Erin Carleton, Maddie Adams and step-grandson, Ryan Noblitt.
