Robert “Bob” Rosemeyer, of Sunman, was born on December 10, 1938, in Sunman, a son to Joseph and Stella Lutz Rosemeyer. He married Karen Suding on August 25, 1962, at St. Peters Catholic Church and together they raised six children. Bob was a lifelong farmer in Dearborn County, a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the New Alsace Conservation Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds. On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the age of 85, he passed away at his residence.
Those surviving who will cherish Bob’s memory include his loving wife of over 61 years, Karen Rosemeyer; one daughter, Jenny Slover of Vevay; five sons, Mike (Bernice) of Sunman, Matt (Missy) of St. Peters, Nick (Steph) of Milan, and Dan and Dennis, both of Sunman; 12 grandchildren and one great, grandchild. Also surviving are siblings, Sharon Cooper of Batesville, Paul Rosemeyer of Milan, and Jack Rosemeyer of Ohio. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Bills and brother, Howard Rosemeyer.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30 at All Saints Parish – St. Paul Campus. Cremation will follow.
