BATESVILLE, In. – Kids Discovery Factory received a $5,000 grant from Rising Sun Regional Foundation to purchase a new robotics exhibit for their traveling Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) program, Kids Discovery Mobile Factory.
Kids Discovery Mobile Factory, an exhibit outreach program for students in Pre-K through 8th grade, debuted in March of 2017. In just one year the Mobile Factory has facilitated 23 school, corporate and community events, impacting more than 5,170 regional kids.
The Mobile Factory can be scheduled for programs throughout southeastern Indiana. Kids Discovery Factory provides engaging hands-on STEAM experiences at their four-day summer camp. Registration opens in May for the 6th annual camp, which will take place in Batesville July 9-13, 2018. Kids Discovery Factory is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The Rising Sun Regional Foundation grants program is designed to primarily benefit the residents of Ohio and Ripley counties and the City of Aurora, Indiana.
