(Ripley County, IN) – The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office is out with yet another warning about telephone scammers calling and claiming you missed your court date or jury duty, or you have an outstanding warrant or fine.
Deputies say they do not collect any type of payment over the phone, and they will never ask you to get cash to pay to avoid arrest.
You’re urged to never provide personal information, even if the caller ID appears to be a local number or one that is listed on the county website.
