(Ripley County, IN) – Ripley County 911 Dispatch and the Ripley County Health Department are collaborating on an effort to empower citizen responders to provide lifesaving assistance to cardiac arrest victims in public through an app.
PulsePoint allows persons who are CPR-trained and willing to assist to receive requests to help.
In addition to nearby “CPR-needed” notifications, PulsePoint subscribers can follow their local agency and choose to be notified of significant events that may impact their family.
PulsePoint also provides an AED registry that will connect with responders, bystanders, and 911 Dispatch. You can register these devices at AED.NEW.
“We are hoping to raise awareness and ask for community participation, to be able to help in the event of an emergency,” said Paul Tyrer with the Ripley County Health Department.
