Ripley County Photography Show presented at the Central House in Napoleon

Napoleon, In. — The works of more than 15 Ripley County photographers will be on display March 1-10 at the Central House in Napoleon. The Photography Show, Focus on Ripley County Photographers, begins with a Photographers Reception Friday, March 1, from 5-9pm with most of the photographers on hand, as well as refreshments, at 3684 W. Napoleon Main Street.

A variety of photographs will be on display, from landscapes to portraits to creative interpretations of our world. Participating photographers are: Anjali Fong of Versailles, Bill Riley of Milan, Jim Waldo of Versailles, Rich Fowler of Batesville, Mary Bultman of Osgood, Jared Rogers of Versailles, Melissa Hendrix of Batesville, Kea Foreman of Friendship, Sandy Zeigler of Batesville, Kirsten Carlson of Versailles, Katherine Taul of Holton, Nancy Metz of Batesville, Davied Engelking of Sunman, Lacey Engelking of Sunman, Amy Smith of Batesville, Tammy Shook of Napoleon, and Dakota Engelking of Sunman.

In addition to the Photographers Reception, the show is open Saturday, March 2, 11-7; Sunday, March 3 1-4pm; Monday through Friday, March 4-8, 5-7pm; Saturday, March 9, 11-7; and the final day will be Sunday, March 10, 1-4pm. There is no charge for coming to the Photography Show, however, a donation for the Central House is always welcome. Some photographers will have their photographs for sale during the show, to be picked up after the show concludes March 10.

“Information was sent out across the county in January inviting people to participate,” noted Victor Sarringhaus, who is helping to coordinate the event with Katherine Taul, “and we are thrilled with the interest shown.”

The event is being sponsored by the Central House, and Carl and Katherine Taul. “We’re excited to help bring Focus on Ripley County Photographers to the public and appreciate the Central House board allowing us to use their venue,” added Katherine.
