Batesville, IN — The Ripley County Democrats held a virtual meeting to elect a new central committee on March 4. This election is held every four years according to state party rules. By a unanimous vote, Paul Satchwill was elected as the new Chairman of the Ripley County Democrats. Satchwill is an Indiana native, growing up in Dearborn County and attending Indiana University as an English Education major. Satchwill currently teaches and lives in Batesville and has been heavily involved in the local community since beginning his career there in 2015.
Joining Satchwill on the central committee will be Janice Wittich, Treasurer, and Christopher Bruns, Secretary. The Vice-Chair position is currently vacant. Anyone interested should email ripleycodemchair@gmail.com or call 317-731-2024.
