Ricky E. Haessig, of Milan, was born on February 10, 1953 in Batesville, a son to Norman and Thelma Davis Haessig. He married Betty Steinmetz on May 15, 1976 and together they raised two daughters. Ricky attended St. Paul United Methodist Church and loved fishing, hunting, woodworking and farming. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and four-legged companions. On Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the age of 66 he passed away at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati.
Those surviving who will cherish Ricky’s memory include his loving wife of 43 years, Betty Haessig; daughters, Carrie Haessig of Harrison, and Becky (Mark) Haessig Osborne of Lawrenceburg; two granddogs, Twizzler and Pixie; four sisters, Shirley Craig of Sunman, Wanda Adams, Linda (Junior) Campos, and Beth Ann Magers, all of Milan, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale and Bill Craig.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 12 noon until time of service at 2 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Rev. Bill Helms will officiate the service and burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Sunman.
