Richard “Rick” Edwin Land, 56, of Dillsboro passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital, Lawrenceburg. Rick was born on Thursday, September 30, 1965 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana; son of Louis Land and Patricia (Franks) Gillis. Rick proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Ken Neyer Plumbing in Cleves, Ohio for 23 years. Rick enjoyed working on cars, going to car shows, fishing, shooting clay birds, target shooting, spending time with family and camping.
Rick will be missed by his son Justis (Kristina) Land of Moores Hill; daughter Julianna Land of Moores Hill; wife Mary Burnett of Dillsboro; father Louis Land of Greendale; brother Randy Jackson of Greencastle; sister Tanya’e Heidorn of Lebanon; and grandchildren Hayley Land and Dalton Land.
Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Gillis, and brother Kim Heidorn.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be given in honor of Rick to the Donor’s Choice.
