BATESVILLE — Reuse., a refill shop, marked Earth Day with a ribbon-cutting by the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce, and an open house.

“Our main goal is to reduce waste. You simply bring in your own container or buy one from us, and then fill it up with one of our all-natural products and pay by the ounce,” said owner Megan Fitzsimmons.

Before launching the business last month, Fitzsimmons had to determine if there was a local market for a refill shop.

“My main concern was, is ‘Batesville big enough? Is there a big enough clientele?’ But this last month we’ve been open, it’s been awesome. We’ve had a great response,” Fitzsimmons said. “People have been thanking me for doing this.”

Reuse. is located within Fitzsimmons’ other business venture, Megan’s Amazing Deals, at 7 S. Eastern Avenue in Romweber Market Place.
