Aurora, IN—Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc.will continue asphalt resurface work along U.S. 50 from S.R. 350 to S.R. 1 this weekend and into next week. Signal and traffic marking activities will also take place along the route.
Friday, August 9 to Saturday, August 10: On Friday and Saturday nights crews will apply joint sealant on longitudinal joints between driving lanes in both east and westbound directions on U.S. 50. Work will take place as a moving operation from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. each night, with no official lane closures planned. Traffic may be moved to an adjacent lane as it passes the area where crews are active. There is potential for “overspray” to occur due to the nature of the materials being used during the sealing process. Motorists are encouraged to give crews plenty of room to avoid impacts to their vehicles.
Sunday, August 11 to Monday, August 12: On Sunday and Monday nights paving crews will begin approach paving along U.S. 50. Work is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night throughout the project limits.
Tuesday, August 13: Signal housing work is scheduled to begin Tuesday on side streets at signalized intersections along U.S. 50. Work is scheduled to take place during daytime hours for the next few weeks. Minor to moderate traffic impacts are expected at these locations.
Thursday, August 15: Crews are expected to begin traffic marking operations on Thursday, with the application of “ghost lines” and pavement grooves along U.S. 50. It is anticipated that the application of permanent pavement markings will begin on Monday, August 19.
