Statewide — Throughout the year, the Indiana DNR surveys many lakes and rivers, but cannot see everything happening at our important outdoor resources. Invasive species are plants, animals, and diseases that are not native to the area in question and have or are likely to cause environmental, human health, or financial harm. Many invasive species have entered Indiana or are a threat to arrive in our state. You can fight back by learning the signs, reporting sightings, and taking precautions.
To report an invasive plant or animal species, call 1-866-NO EXOTIC (1-866-663-9684) or online by clicking here. Another option for reporting terrestrial and aquatic invasive species is through the Indiana portal of EDDMaps.org.
