Report: FBI Investigating Irsay Death

(Indianapolis, IN) – The FBI is investigating the death of Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay.

According to a report in The Washington Post, the bureau is investigating a recovery doctor in California who is accused of prescribing painkillers and ketamine to Irsay before he died.

The publication says this doctor was treating Irsay at the time of his death.

The doctor reportedly signed Irsay’s death certificate, and declared his death was due to “cardiac arrest caused by pneumonia and heart issues.”

Irsay died on May 25, 2025 in Beverly Hills, California at the age of 65.

He was owner, CEO and chairman of the Colts from 1997 until his passing.
