Brookville, IN—The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce held its Annual Dinner on Thursday evening at the American Legion in Brookville.
Guest speaker for the Red, White, and Blue themed event was Tom Popp, the CEO of Honor Flight Tri-State. Popp spoke about the Nonprofit mission and shared some of his favorite stories from each trip. They offer Honor Flights to veterans so they may visit their memorials in Washington, D.C. All World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans aged 65 and older who served either stateside or overseas, are eligible. Flights this year will be held on April 22, May 19, September 22, and October 27.
Awards were also given at the event. The Beautification award went to Whitewater Canal Trail. The Business of the Year award honors went to Franklin County Community Foundation and White’s Realty.
