(Ripley County, IN) – Complaints from residents about reckless driving led to a Madison man’s arrest in Ripley County Friday morning.

Indiana State Police Master Trooper Ben Bastin was patrolling State Road 129 between Cross Plains and Versailles after the agency received multiple complaints about someone repeatedly driving dangerously through the area in the early morning hours.

ISP says just before 6 a.m., Trp. Bastin spotted the vehicle going more than 40 miles an hour over the speed limit on 129 through Olean.

Trp. Bastin conducted a traffic stop on State Road 129 near Wood Road and arrested 34-year-old Justin Mahoney on a misdemeanor Reckless Driving charge.
