Rebecca “Becky” Short, age 59, Milan, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lawrenceburg. Becky was born on August 7, 1962, in Detroit, MI a daughter to Dencil and Marlene Risner Short. After the family relocated to Milan, she attended Milan High School. She spent her life as a homemaker and a caregiver. Becky always enjoyed shopping, flea markets, yard sales, and vacations, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors to cherish Becky’s memories include her three daughters: Tasha (Kirk) Bailey – Osgood, Danielle (David Walker) McQueen – Milan, and Kayla (Jonathan) Benham – Osgood. Seven grandchildren: Tiera, Alexis, Ryan, Kilee, Brady, Corbin, and Cohen. Three great-grandchildren: Maddox, Parker, and Lovelynn. Three brothers David, Kenny, and Stanley along with a sister Katrina. Becky was proceeded in death by her loving parents, and companion, Kenneth “Dobber” McQueen.
Friends and family are invited to show love for Becky and support the family Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, Sunman. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, at 11:00 am with burial following the service at Little Memory Cemetery. Memorial donations should be directed to the family.
