Versailles, IN—The Ripley County Health Department has created a “cheat sheet” on how to continue handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Health Department reminds everyone that they should be:
- Washing your hands frequently
- Covering your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing with appropriate material (like tissue or handkerchief)
- Utilizing high standards of social distancing
- Wear a mask if available
- Have only ONE member of the household at a time go when making a run to the store for essential items.
If you or someone in your household is pending a test:
- Try to recall close contacts of the patient for the last 7-14 days, in the event of a positive result, that information is valuable.
- Sequester the individual in the household if possible
- Avoid close personal contact.
- If others in the household become symptomatic, contact your health care professional.
If you or someone in your household is positive:
- Sequester those who have been in close personal contact with the patient.
- If you or a family member becomes symptomatic, inform your health care professional.
- Please be prepared with the patient’s list of close contacts over the last 7-14 days. This information is necessary for tracing needs.
