(Ripley County, IN) – The Ripley County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of its 2026 scholarship application season.
This is a great opportunity for local students seeking funds for higher education.
The Ripley County Community Foundation manages dozens of scholarship funds established by generous local donors, offering opportunities for almost every type of post-secondary education.
Whether a student plans to attend a four-year university, a local community college, a trade school, or a specialized program like cosmetology, the community foundation has resources designed to help.
In 2025, the Foundation awarded an impressive $160,551 in scholarship dollars across 56 opportunities, benefiting 69 deserving students. This investment underscores the community’s commitment to fostering a highly educated and skilled local population.
“Access to education changes lives, strengthens families, and builds a brighter future for our Ripley County community. Scholarships open doors to education and opportunity, enabling
students to focus on their aspirations rather than their financial barriers,” stated Jim Black, Board Member for the Ripley County Community Foundation. “We encourage all eligible students to
leverage the generosity of our donors and apply to these scholarship opportunities.”
Scholarship applications are due on February 2, 2026.
Students and families are encouraged to begin the process early to ensure all materials are submitted before the deadline.
