(Ripley County, IN) – The Ripley County Community Foundation (RCCF) has established the Marysue (Luhring) Knisley Nursing Scholarship which is available to students in 2024.
This scholarship was established in memory of Marysue (Luhring) Knisley by the Joe and Judy Luhring Family.
Marysue Knisley, who passed away in 2022, built her career as a nurse earning many credentials – RN, BSN, MBA, MSN, CLNC, and expanded her career from nurse, to medical compliance consultant.
RCCF says her family created this scholarship to continue Marysue’s unending determination and drive and to support the medical professionals of tomorrow.
“Marysue had a zest for life which was built upon her warm smile. By providing this scholarship, we hope that Marysue’s love for her fellow human being will inspire those just starting out on their journey as a nurse, to stay ever focused on providing quality care to all in need,” said Marysue’s parents Joe and Judy Luhring.
The Marysue (Luhring) Knisley Nursing Scholarship will distribute a $1,000 award which will support a current nursing student from Ripley or Franklin County who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree as an RN. The application due date is June 1, 2024 and can be accessed through the Community Foundation’s website at https://rccfonline.org/scholarships/.
