Raymond Lee Hale Sr.

Raymond Lee Hale, Sr., 67, of Milan, Indiana, formerly of Aurora, IN, passed away Friday May 10, 2019 in Milan, Indiana.

He was born July 31, 1951 in Cincinnati, OH, son of the late Willard R Hale and Effie (Ingle) Hale.

He worked as a HVAC Tech for Geiler Heating & Cooling, retiring after over 10 years of service. He worked in heating & cooling for over 25 years.

Raymond had a passion for classic cars. He liked to tinker around on them and do body work, go to classic car shows, watch classic car programs. He loved old Westerns with John Wayne, Clint Eastwood etc. He had an interest in anything to do with the “Old West”. When he was younger, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, shooting, being outdoors, hiking and exploring. Ray loved his country. He was very patriotic and had several members of his family serve in the Military. (He could not serve because of his health) Ray loved his dogs, Boo Boo, Duder, & Itty Bit. He loved his family most of all and spending time with them was his favorite pastime.

Raymond is survived by his loving spouse of 50 years Barbara Hale (Thompson), sons, Ray (Deb) Hale Jr. of Moores Hill, IN, Nathan Hale of Aurora, IN; daughter, Julie (Donnie Wright) Hale of Erlanger, KY; grandchildren, Kayla Meister, Raymond Hale III, Daniel Hale, Ciara Ritchie, Marina Abshear, Christalyn & Tia Bolling, and Alexia Hale; great-grandchildren, Gracie & Carly Meister, Braedyn, Lawrence, & Kenna Braun, Molly & Richard Abshear, Jayden Crawley, Brielle & Jack Smith; siblings, Sharon (late Glen) Hendel of Cincinnati, OH, Steven (Jan) Hale of Versailles, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard R Hale, and, Effie Mae (Ingle) Hale, brothers Willard, Edward Hale and Thomas (late,Evonia Gail) Hale, and Brother-in-law, Glen Hendel.

Friends will be received Tuesday, May 14, 2019, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, Wednesday at 11:00 am with Tom Hale officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Hill Memorial Park, Cincinnati, Ohio.
