Ray Moody, 89, of Milan passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. Ray was born August 12, 1930 in Cross Plains, Indiana, the son of the late Marion and Lula (Gray) Moody. Ray was a member of Shelby Christian Church in Rexville and retired after 58 ½ years driving trucks for Baylor, Moore Trucking, and Aurora Casket. He enjoyed hunting and fishing; and was a former member of the Table of Knowledge at The Reservation in Milan.
Ray is survived by his son Larry Moody (Mary Hanzel) of Bunnell, Florida; daughters: Diana (Rick) Bowling of Morrow, Ohio, Susan Moody (Steve Mahan) of Bedford, Indiana, and Gwen (Terry) Bultman of Bedford, Indiana; Wanda Moody of Middletown, Ohio, mother of their children: Larry, Diana, and Ricky Dean; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Ricky Dean Moody, great grandson James Michael Bultman, brothers Ralph and Roscoe Moody, sister Ella Ruth Evans and Carolyn Chaney, mother of their children: Gwen and Susan.
To adhere to the Governor’s COVID-19 mandate, a private visitation will be held for Ray Moody’s family. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Shelby Christian Cemetery, Rexville with Pastor Charles Miller officiating.
