There were only a few baseball/softball events played Tuesday, April 5 due to the rain. Here are the recaps. More will be added if received, so please check back.
Batesville’s JV baseball team lost 5-3 at New Palestine. The Bulldogs Bobby Wilder had a pair of hits and Alex Krekeler carded a two RBI double.
Cade Kaiser got the start for BHS and struck out five in 3-1/3 innings of work. Conner Drake pitched well in the final 2-2/3. The duo only gave up one earned run each.
In a junior high softball, North Decatur lost 13-5 at Waldron. For the Chargers in their season opener, Ellie Johnson and Kendall Hostkoetter both singled while Elizabeth Meister doubled.
