Rain, freezing rain possible Thursday

Wilmington, Oh. — Meteorologists from the National Weather Service say an upper-level low-pressure system could bring rain, freezing rain and sleet to the area overnight Thursday. Drier conditions will return for Friday, but unseasonably cool temperatures will linger.

Forecast models show the low pressure system will swing across Kentucky Thursday night. As the system moves through, colder air will accompany it and could change the precipitation type back to freezing rain or sleet.

Generally, through the 36-hour period highs are expected to be in the 30’s with lows in the 20’s.
