(Decatur County, IN) – A Decatur County family received a $1,053 gift card for a 529 College Savings Plan from Fifth Third Bank’s Gift of College program, presented by IndyCar driver Graham Rahal at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The family, including mom Braelyn McQueen and newborn Emersyn, was surprised with the care package.
The program, which welcomes babies born on May 3, has provided over $730,000 in 529 plan funding since 2017.
Emersyn’s cousin was a previous recipient, and the gift basket also included items from the Rahal Letterman Lanigan racing team.
Braelyn, a labor and delivery nurse, shared that Emersyn arrived early while she was working a shift at Columbus Regional Hospital.
