VERSAILLES, Ind. – Authorities are seeking information after a Ripley County man had his truck stolen Wednesday morning.
Dispatchers received a call around 5:55 a.m. in reference to a stolen pickup on C.R. 500 N in Delaware.
The abandoned truck was found by police fifteen minutes later on C.R. 350E at the intersection of State Road 350.
The truck was reported stolen after the owner’s son passed the pickup on C.R. 500 N at 5:30 a.m.
The son saw two headlights coming toward him, one being a bright red car, possibly a Pontiac Grand Am and the second vehicle he saw was believed to be his parents.
He proceeded to his parent’s house and asked them if they had loaned the truck to anyone, which they said they had not, and called 911.
Deputies are looking for any clues as to who was driving the pickup and the red car. The pickup is described as a gray Chevy 4×4 taken from the Delaware area.
If anyone has information contact the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office at (812) 689-5555.
