An arrest was made following the discovery of a deceased man in Ohio County last week.
Indiana State Police were contacted to perform a welfare check at the residence of Raymond Green, on 9863 Hartford Pike, which is on a large piece of property in rural Ohio County.
They were initially called to check on the individual by a family member who did not know where he could be.
A missing person investigation was conducted by multiple agencies.
“As the investigation unfolded investigators developed enough probable cause to obtain search warrants for various locations within the property,” Indiana State Police Sgt. Noel Houze said.
The body of Raymond Green was discovered in a metal box on the property last Wednesday, Houze said.
An autopsy was performed on Thursday at the Hamilton County, Ohio morgue and the results of the autopsy indicated the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds.
A thorough investigation including interviews and evidence collected led to a warrant being issued for the arrest of 42-year-old Danielle Green.
She was arrested today by the Indiana State Police is facing a preliminary charge of Murder.
An initial hearing is scheduled for this afternoon at 3:30 in the Ohio County Circuit Court in Rising Sun.
