Sunman, Milan, and Napoleon, IN— Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews will close sections of S.R. 101 and S.R. 229 in Ripley County next week for pipe replacements. Work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 4), Wednesday (Nov. 6) and Thursday (Nov. 7). Road closures are planned as follows, weather permitting:
- Monday, November 4: S.R. 101 closed between C.R. 1000 N. and C.R. 1100 N. near Sunman (originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, but canceled due to weather)
Detour: S.R. 46 to S.R. 129 to S.R. 48 - Wednesday, November 6: S.R. 229 closed between C.R. 200 W. and CR. 250 W. east of Napoleon
Detour: U.S. 421 to S.R. 350 to S.R. 129 - Thursday, November 7: S.R. 101 closed between U.S. 50 and C.R. 50 S. south of Milan
Detour: U.S. 50 to S.R. 129 to S.R. 350
Access to homes within the closure will be maintained. Thru traffic should utilize the official detour routes listed above.
