Paula Jane (Benning) Grubbs, 64, of Aurora passed away Monday, February 9, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky with her loving family by her side. Paula was born on Thursday, January 18, 1962, in Cincinnati; daughter of Wayne and Betty (Sturgill) Benning. Paula worked as a line helper at CABVI (Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired). She enjoyed attending Church on Fire in Harrison, Ohio. She enjoyed writing, storytelling, going thrifting, and playing the slot machines. Most of all Paula cherished her family and loved spending time with them.
Paula will be missed by her sons Daren (Jessica) Grubbs Jr. of Madison and James (Danielle) Grubbs of Independence, KY; daughters Nichole (Jesse) Ware of Amelia, OH, Danielle Grubbs of Lawrenceburg, and Stacey (Steven) Myers of Dillsboro; father Wayne Benning of Aurora; brother Tony (Jennifer) Benning of Aurora; sisters Theresa (Tom) Pollack of Aurora and Shelly Benning of Hebron, KY; companion Joe Clements of Reading, OH; grandchildren Jesse (Chaela), Jaden, Brianna, Emily, Lily, Jacob, Everly, Ryan (Allyson), Dakota (April), Dylan, Peyton, Mariah, Isabelle, Aidan, Xzavier, Macelyn, and Greystin; and great-grandchildren Makynlee, Michael, and Adalynn.
Paula was preceded in death by her mother Betty Benning; grandmother Elizabeth Sturgill; and son-in-law Jason Brown.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Paula from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will follow at 1:00 PM with James Kimsey officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Paula to St. Rita School for the Deaf or Milan American Legion Post #235.
