Patrick Henry O’Connor Sr., age 67, of Osgood, passed away peacefully at his daughters home on Friday July 22, 2016. Patrick was born in Warsaw, KY on September 18, 1948, the son of the late Joseph Henry and Florence (Beck) O’Connor. Patrick had attended grade school at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora, and still possessed his strong Catholic faith.
Pat met the love of his life Jacqueline (Mathews) in Aurora and they united in marriage on June 22, 1968. To this marriage they were blessed with 3 children, daughters Louquetta (John) Spinner, Irma (late Brad) Hill, and son Patrick O’Connor Jr. of Kentucky
Pat worked originally as a steel worker at Barnes Jackson in Aurora. They decided to move the family west to Oklahoma, where he drove a truck and put himself thru law enforcement school. After completing school he became employed by the sheriff department of Muskogee County, Oklahoma and retired from this position.
He returned after this to call Osgood home for remainder of his life. Patrick was proceeded in death by wife Jacqueline, his parents, sisters Louise Sheldon, Marcialla Wilson, and Maggie O’Connor, brother William O’Connor, and son-in-law Brad Hill. He is survived by both daughters of Osgood, his son Patrick of Kentucky and numerous grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, along with sisters Alice Wilson of Carrollton, Ky, Mary Butts of Osgood, Jenny Kimberley of Georgetown, Oh.
Grave side services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Perseverance Cemetery in Osgood. These services will coincide with son-in law Bradley Hill.
