Patricia Sue Vickers, age 85, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, March 12, 2026 at her residence in Brookville following a brief illness.
Born July 28, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Andrew & Nevie (Engle) Sears. She became wife of Charles Vickers, and he preceded her in death on September 5, 2023.
In her leisure time she enjoyed shopping, drawing, and crocheting. Her favorite movie was, A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. She loved holidays and any time spent with family and friends. She also loved to sing and was very good at it. She loved fresh vegetables out of her garden, and liked to can and preserve her harvest. She loved music, and was known to listen to her CD’s daily. She never met a stranger; always loved to hug people, and had a very generous heart.
Survivors include four children, Nevie Vickers of Williamsburg, Ohio, Charles J. Vickers III of Brookville, Indiana, Shelly Sizemore of Moores Hill, Indiana and Benjamin J. Vickers of Edgewood, Kentucky; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, as well as 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Stapleton and Freida Centers; as well as a brother J.T. Sears.
Family & friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 12 Noon on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home.
