Patricia Ann “Pat” (Huser) Thies, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Harmony of Anderson Assisted Living in Cincinnati. Born March 17, 1938, in Indianapolis, she is the daughter of Urban and Pauline (Daugherty) Huser. She and her husband, Estel Thies, were married on June 20, 1959, at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville, Indiana.
Pat was a people person and spent time at the family-owned businesses, including Huser’s Tavern and Thies’ Marathon gas station, where she helped with the office books. She was a devoted Catholic and volunteered her time at St. Louis school. She loved her family and boating on the Ohio River in Aurora, IN, almost every weekend, and was actively involved in the Rising Sun Yacht Club. She and Estel would routinely visit Juno Beach, Florida, each winter. She enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends. She never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand to a neighbor.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Dana (Grant) Breazeale of Cincinnati, OH; grandsons Jacob (22), Johnathan (19), and Joseph (14) Breazeale; cousins Fred and Grace Huser, both of Greensburg, IN; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Urb and Pauline; her husband, Estel; and her brothers, Bob and David Huser.
A Catholic Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 20, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Louis Cemetery in Batesville. Memorial donations can be made to St. Louis School or the Alzheimer’s Association. For online condolences, please go to www.weigelfh.com.
