DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — The parents of a young boy who accidentally shot and killed himself last February in Sunman have been indicted.
Shane and Samantha Griffith were both indicted by a Dearborn County grand jury, over 11 months after the child died.
Christopher died after shooting himself in the chest on February 26, 2016.
The Dearborn County Coroner ruled the shooting death accidental.
The indictments were for Neglect of a Dependent Resulting in Death. If convicted, the two could face up to 40 years in prison.
