The weekend will mark the beginning of two county fairs and an annual summer fest.
The Decatur County 4-H Fair began this week and is ongoing through Thursday. Events are scheduled each day at the Decatur County Fairground & Exhibition Center in Greensburg.

The annual Batesville Fireman’s Summer Fest begins tonight at Liberty Park. A fish fry will be held from 5-8 p.m.
Residents will line the streets in downtown Batesville during the Fireman’s parade Saturday at 1 p.m. The route is the same as last year. It begins at the corner of Columbus Avenue and Mulberry St. and will conclude at Liberty Park.
The Fire Department will serve fried chicken and grilled smoked pork chop dinners from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
