Alex Palou and his crew executed another brilliant pit strategy that landed the defending series champion in front again on Sunday. Palau won the Thermal IndyCar Grand Prix after making a pass on Pato O’Ward with ten laps left. He was able to do so because of their tire strategy. Because of that Palou had more in his tires at the end to get around and beat O’Ward. It’s his second win in a row and he extends his lead in the series championship standings. They head to Long Beach in early April.
