Indianapolis, In. — Republican state representatives Randy Lyness, West Harrison, and Cindy Ziemke, Batesville, encourage students who want to learn more about state government to participate in the Indiana House Page Program during the 2019 legislative session.
“As a House page, students ages 13 to 18 spend a day at the Statehouse in Indianapolis with their local legislators and other students,” Lyness said. “I always look forward to meeting students from our community and showing them what I am working on for our state.”
According to Ziemke, pages help staff and local legislators, tour government offices, and learn about the legislative process.
“It is always exciting to have pages join us on the House floor for session,” Ziemke said. “They learn about state government and gain a greater understanding of the lawmaking process. I encourage area teens to apply for this great opportunity.”

The 2019 legislative session begins Thursday, January 3 and must conclude by April 30.
