The 18-hole ORVC Boys Golf Championship match scheduled Saturday at The Links in Rising Sun was postponed due to lightning. Because of scheduling issues, the conference event was reduced to nine holes on Monday.
Switzerland County won the title by six strokes over Shawe, 173-179. Jac-Cen-Del placed third with 194. Rising Sun (202), Milan (204) and Southwestern (222) took spots fourth through sixth. South Ripley competed but did not qualify for a team score.
The Pacers Bryce Wrightsman earned Conference MVP honors shooting 35.
Ripley County athletes earninf All-Conference qwew Jac-Cen-Del’s Sam Schwering (45), Drew Caccamo (49) and Derek Borgman (49) along with Milan’s Jacob Voss (48). South Ripley’s best was Eli Liming (50) who narrowly missed the All-ORVC list.

In a boys dual golf match last night at Hillcrest, North Decatur edged Batesville 183-185.
The Chargers Collin Bryant tallied 41 to take home medalist honors. Teammate Carson Parmer posted 45. Jackson Wanstrath’s 44 was low for the Dogs. Logan Fletcher carded 46.

South Ripley’s Brad Goldsberry- South Ripley competed in the ORVC tournament at the Links in Rising Sun, after taking a few years hiatus. South Ripley did not finish with a team score having only 3 players compete in the conference tournament. Scoring for the Raiders were Eli Liming with a 50. He tied his season best score and improved 13 strokes from his last outing at the Links. Eli was one stroke away from making the All-Conference team. Logan McGee shot a 64 which is a 3 stroke improvement from his last time on the course. Reese Swingle played the #3 spot shooting a 63, which is a 2 stroke improvement for his last performance at the Links. All South Ripley Raiders have improved upon their season averages.
