DEARBORN COUNTY, IN — Air Care was called to a one-vehicle crash late Sunday night on State Road 1 near Whitaker Lane.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the scene just before midnight on a report of a smoking vehicle in a ditch.
Deputies learned through witness accounts and the investigation that the van’s driver was northbound on State Road 1 and driving erratically.
After passing several vehicles, the van went off the side of the road and into a ditch.
The van flipped several times and the driver, identified as 19-year-old Morgan Litmer, was ejected from the vehicle through the rear hatch.
Litmer was the only person in the van and was flown to the hospital.
Her condition is not known.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Miller-York and City of Greendale fire departments, Lawrenceburg EMS, Greendale Police, and UC Health Air Care.
