(Greensburg, IN) – An estimated 70 people showed up on Memorial Day to wave American flags on the Moscow Road Bridge over I-74.

The group known as the Overpass Patriots gathers on patriotic holidays such as Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Patriot Day (September 11) and Veterans Day to wave Old Glory, rain or shine.

Greensburg resident and Board of Works member Robin Meyer started the tradition by himself several years ago before others starting joining in.

About 75 people took part last year on Memorial Day.

The all-time participation record is 109 attendees on July 4, 2022.
