Over 3/4 of Franklin County voters participated this year

Brookville, IN — Franklin County saw a 77.37% voter turnout for the November 2020 election. The Franklin County Observer reported that several voting locations had long lines throughout the county, including wait times of over an hour in Oldenburg and Brookville.  

For Franklin County Surveyor, Rob Seig pulled away as winner vs the incumbent Glenn Bailey 8,977 to 2,503 votes. In the County Council-at-Large race, Republicans Glen Bischoff, Carroll Lanning, and Brian Patterson pulled away victoriously. The only democratic win in the area Tuesday night was incumbent Gina Gillman over Derrike Kolb for the Brookville Town Clerk-Treasurer race. Brookville Town Council Ward 1 victory went to Brooke Leffingwell over Gary Gig Marmouze and Charles Chuck Cambell won over Darell Flaspohler for Brookville Town Council Ward 3.

For the Batesville School Board District 3 race, Mike Baumer and Jeremy Raver won the accumulative votes for Ripley and Franklin Counties. Winners in the race for Franklin County School were District 2,  Ricky Gill and District 3 seat, Justin C. Moore.
