Franklin County, In. — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department says one person was killed in a head-on crash Saturday afternoon on U.S. 52 just west of State Road 1.
Deputies say at 2:37 p.m. a car driven by James Waldron, 75, of Connersville, was westbound, went left of center and struck a pickup truck driven by Brian Defossett, 52, of Brookville.
Waldron was pronounced dead at the scene. Defossett was transported to a local hospital for treatment, his condition is not known.
