One critically injured in Jennings County crash

Jennings County, In. — A Jennings County crash seriously injured a North Carolina woman Thursday around 1:30 p.m.

A report from the Indiana State police says a car driven by Ann Cutter 74, of Greensboro, North Carolina, was westbound on U.S. 50 near the intersection of State Road 750. Cutter entered intersection and drove into the path of a semi truck driven by Carlnell Barrett, 27, of Mullins, South Carolina.

The impact wedged Cutter’s vehicle under the trailer. After being freed by emergency responders she was flown to an Indianapolis hospital with critical injuries. Barrett was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing. Alcohol or drugs are not suspected in the crash.
